HID lights operate by transmitting an electrical charge between two tungsten electrical conductors (and through an ionized gas (known as "plasma") housed within the bulb to generate light.

• They are extremely energy efficient because they waste little amount of energy. LED lights require less maintenance and they work more efficiently.
• They do not contain any harmful toxins or gases. They are easy to dispose of and do not harm the environment.
